Gizmo Closure Bringing Make-up Chunks to a Halt?

So, if you'll remember, in an earlier post I talked about the new invention that was going to be sweeping its way across the beverage market-the Gizmo closure. I was surprised today to stumble across a YouTube comment highlighting exactly why having the closure on cosmetics (which I didn't really understand in the first place) would be absolutely awesome-it can finally put a stop to those god-awful chunks that liquid make up gets when it sits around on the store shelves too long!

Think about it. Ladies, how often have you walking into a store and picked up a brand new tube of mascara, only to have it turn out to be no good two or three weeks down the road because it's so chunky and dry you can barely do it? Now, I don't know diddly squat about how they make mascara, but I have to imagine being able to withhold the ingredients that make it thick and chunky until you're good and ready to use it could only be a good thing!

What do you think?

  1. I think if they could find a way to keep makeup fresh when it's on the store shelves it would be the smartest thing they've ever done. I mean, think about it. It's such an annoyance when you end up dropping a ton of money on something you can't even use a few weeks later. And cosmetics are expensive!

  2. Alexandra is right. I mean, look how much you have to pay for a good foundation these days. It's such an annoyance when it's dried up and stale when you buy it so that you can't even use it-and if you can, it's not for long! Now imagine if you could take that Gizmo closure and use it not only to keep your makeup fresh but also to measure its color as well...

  3. Oh, I wish! I don't know though, I suspect a measure your own foundation might end up being more of a mistake than just prepackaging it and hoping for the best! After hearing what they said about the Gizmo closure on the other YouTube video from the beverage awards (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rY6B0nKy-4w) I have to say it definitely sounds like it's bringing the best of both worlds.

  4. Lol. I think I absolutely hate chunky make-up, and once upon a time they said you couldn't administer your own insulin. I would imagine we'd all learn sooner or later.
